The Folding Magnetic Heritage Chess Set is a refined and portable version of Purling’s timeless Heritage range, designed for both elegance and practicality.
The miniature chess pieces are hand-carved and machine-turned in Ebony and Boxwood, measuring between 3.5 cm and 6.5 cm. Each piece incorporates a discreet magnet in its base, allowing for secure play on the move. For a touch of refinement, the bases are finished with Italian Nappa leather felts, embossed with the Purling crown logo in 18-carat gold.
The folding chess board is handmade from Acacia wood, with a slim metal sheet hidden beneath the surface to hold the magnetic pieces firmly in place. The two sides connect seamlessly with sunken magnets, creating a flush, smooth playing surface.
When not in use, the pieces can be stored neatly inside the folding board, making this set ideal for travel, display, or compact storage.
