The set includes Purling Bold Boxwood chess pieces, hand-carved and inspired by the classic Staunton design, featuring Purling’s distinctive Knight. Each piece is finished with two coats of primer: one side with high-gloss paint and crystal-clear lacquer, the other with toughened matt paint for a silky smooth effect. Triple-weighted and beautifully balanced, every piece is completed with an Italian Nappa leather base felt, embossed with the Purling logo in 18-carat gold.
To complement the chess set, each purchase also includes a set of alabaster stone checkers, a natural mineral with delicate veining, translucent qualities and unique salt crystal patterns, ensuring no two sets are ever the same.
