Introducing a new addition to our Bold Chess range, the Payne’s Grey & White Bold Chess Set offers the same exceptional quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship that defines every Purling design.

Payne’s Grey, one of Purling’s signature colours, can be ordered with any opposing colour combination, but here it is paired with crisp White for a striking contrast.

The luxury hardwood chess pieces are hand-turned and hand-carved, inspired by the traditional Staunton design and featuring Purling’s unique Knight. Each piece is hand-painted and finished in London using a six-stage process: two layers of primer, two coats of high-gloss paint, and two coats of crystal-clear lacquer, producing a deep, glossy and durable finish.

Each piece is completed with a soft Italian Nappa leather base felt, embossed with the Purling crown logo in 18-carat gold. Every set includes four Queens for effortless pawn promotion.

The set is paired with a black and white Italian alabaster stone board, adding elegance and timeless sophistication.

Presented in luxury Purling branded packaging, this Bold Chess Set is both a statement piece and a collector’s item.
